R&D Executive / Assistant Manager - Software (M/F)

Position: R&D Executive – Software (M/F)
Department: R&D Department
Location: Mumbai, Maharastra (India).
The day-to-day of R&D Executive Software:
- Participate in the definition of the Development department, putting into practice daily actions for its implementation;
- Lead/manage the project and software design/development responsibility of a given project and deliver it within expected timeline/cost;
- Compose requirements, Design the software, coding, develop test cases, testing it, solving bugs, releasing it and maintaining project knowledgebase and release records;
- Developing software development environment and test setup with ready to use test cases;
- Following software development life cycle processes and generating reusable database;
- Plan, delegate, track and review the project, Conduct technical reviews (Design, code etc.);
- Project documentation, communication (email, telephone, video meeting);
- Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Improvements;
- Leading software team and Improving efficiency and effectiveness of team and software apps;
- Reporting the project status, team status to senior management with required data and metrics
What do we expect from you?
- Software project development life cycle (ISO, CMM or agile);
- Creating and documenting required Product/System specifications;
- Designing, developing, testing, releasing the entire software system/application within the expected timeline and cost;
- Experience in Software architecture/Design models (MVC or similar);
- Experience in designing databases (SQL, mySQL or similar);
- Experience in coding (C#, Vb.net, ASP.net, python, Java and similar);
- Experience in unit, integration and system testing;
- Experience in Version control systems (SVN, git or similar);
- Experience in designing and developing standalone software systems or Client-Server system or Web-based applications (TCP/IP, SSL, Encryption, Services);
- Experience in .Net and Open systems;
- Good Team player, good at leading and enabling 3-4 software engineers;
- Communicator, positive, CAN-DO approach, with sense of responsibility;
- Job estimation, project planning, task planning and delegation, tracking, reviewing technical jobs, doing RCA, managing improvements;
- Experience in technical reviews (design, code etc.) and documentation reviews;
- Experience of leading/managing a software project and team members;
- Creating and maintaining release records, technical know-how, knowledge base;
- Customer-centric approach, working with other groups;
- 9 to 12 years of experience of working in Software domain (.Net and Open systems)
Educational
Educational Qualifications
- BE/BTech/MTech (Computer Science);
- Post-graduation from CDAC will be preferred.
